White Wines from around the World
Do you love white wines and are keen to learn more? Join us for a 2 hour exploration of discovery of some of the great White Wine styles to be found!
This evening we're going to explore the huge variety of styles and flavours you find in white wines by having a whistle-stop tour of the globe.
A taster of what we'll be trying and talking about:
Dry and light Muscadet from the Loire Valley, France
Mineral and elegant Gavi di Gavi from Piemonte, Italy
White (yes, White!) Rioja from Spain
Aromatic white wines such as Viognier and Gewurztraminer
Fuller bodied Chenin Blanc from South Africa or New Zealand
We'll also learn about the use of oak - why it's there and the impact it has on flavours, find out which is better cork or screwcap, plus bust a few common wine myths along the way!
Fully tutored two hour tasting of six wines with nibbles to accompany.
