World of Wine - Australia, New Zealand, South Africa
Part One - Australia and New Zealand
Australia is home to a wide variety of wines and regionality is a word which is being used more and more to describe Australia's best wines. The cooler parts such as Yarra Valley, Eden Valley and Tasmania are producing some delicious, zingy whites and sparklings including varieties such as Riesling which is great with asian food!
The qunitessential Australian grape, Shiraz, is grown in all different climates, ranging in flavours from the jammy to the spicy.
New Zealand has a great reputation for Sauvignon Blanc and has a growing reputation for Pinot Noir. Not tried them yet? You really should!
Part Two - South Africa
Since the abolishment of apartheid in the 1990's this country has finally been allowed to spread it's wings and is now producing some of the most exciting wines in the world. Tonight we'll showcase some of the best: smoky Pinotage and honeyed Chenin Blanc.
Come and join us for this special evening and taste why these New World classic wines are once again being listed on some of the top restaurant wine lists in the UK!
